Monkey Mia - we are coming...

Time flies...
It's now already the 5th week I am here and my English is slowly, but surely improving;-)
I hope you can see now again where you are walking and flying and the ash of Eyafjallajökull has disappeared..., must have been a huge chaos as far as I've heard. But the reportages on TV here were quite poor. Somehow logical, as Australia was only marginally concerned, compared to all the European airlines.

The last thing I told you about was the BBQ, as far as I can remember. The following weekend, means last weekend, I went to Rottnest Island together with Sarah, Beni and Nicolas. We explored this beautiful island with bikes we rent. It was amazing (just have a look at the pictures I've already posted). We were lucky with the weather, as usual, and could really enjoy this trip. We went to marvellous beaches, saw quokkas, lizards and a lot of birds. At little Salmon Bay we were discovering the under water world, equipped with flippers, snorkel and goggles. It was just breath-taking.

On Sunday, I exceptionally gave up my tennis lessons. Instead, I slept in and later on, I went with Beni and Sarah to Kings Park to watch the Red Bull Air Race. It was cool to watch, but hot to sit there - about 33 degrees.

During the week nothing special happened. We discovered a fantastic place for ice creams where we quite often go to, whenever we feel that we deserved an ice cream:-). On Friday before the Rottnest trip we visited the Parliament House. It was rather interesting, especially towards the end when we made a kind a of a role play, trying to imitate the politicians. Unfortunately it was not allowed to take any pictures.
This week we had our mock exams on Tuesday. All the written papers, means writing, use of English, listening and reading. The speaking will be next week. It was quite tough, but I am on a good way, as I passed all parts. And now, I am just getting my stuff ready for the trip to Monkey Mia. We, me and about 10 of my classmates, are going to join a tour to the north. I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun, as already on our trip at Easter.
